1 Describe Bennelong's appearance and nature
Bennelong was taller than most aborigines of his day,being about 168centimetres, and was stoutly built ,dark black in colouring,and able to throw a spear about 100 metres against s strong head wind .His head was scarred in several places ;half of one thumb was missing ;
and there was a wound on the back of his hand . When asked about this ,Bennelong laughed and said that it happened when he was trying to carry off a woman from another tribe by force.
So I think of Bennelong is a own personality and have stoutly built person
2 What benefits did Bennelong gain by befriending the British?
At first Bennelong doesn't like a prisoner ,this chance give him a exceptional ,but fortunate personal changing , he can freely and took readily to drinking wine, eating British food and British clothes , governor Philip offered his friendship to Bennelong who can visit governor's house and called Phillip father ,of fen with Philip walking .
Second one Bennelong is given courteous reception of high stander by British ,his weeding room is build by governor Phillip and he can follow with Phillip return to England to worship King George III.
3 Why do you think Bennelong and his companion did not adapt to England?
Because England cold and damp climate was completely different from Australia .
4 What does it mean that Bennelong was " torn between two cultures"
This means he had accepted foreign cultures as a aborigine and meanwhile he also doesn't forget his elf background .
5 How would you imagine that Bennelong learnt English?
I think of that is only way to learn ---listen and speck in that history time
